Charitable gifts are welcome, and important, at any level. Donations may be
made by personal check, in cash, credit card, through planned giving, or
with a gift of stocks or property. We receive gifts for specific projects,
programming or as contributions to the hospital’s general needs. Gifts also
come in the form of memorials for departed loved ones or to honor friends
and family on special occasions. A donation can be unrestricted, enabling
the hospital to use it for the areas of greatest need, or it can be
restricted to a specific program or equipment need (e.g. Cancer Care,
Cardiac Care, Children’s Therapy Center, Diabetes Education and Management
Program, Hospice Care, Teen Outreach, Women’s Health, etc.). Call the
Foundation office at 724-223-3875 for more information.
The Foundation Raises Funds
Through:

wherever the need is greatest. These gifts are raised through mail
solicitations, phone-a-thons and by unsolicited donations.
Capital Gifts
- Special gifts that provide funds to establish or renovate facilities and
purchase equipment.
Planned Gifts
- Financial bequests or gifts of property in wills, charitable gift
annuities, life insurance policies, charitable trusts, or other deferred giving

to you and your heirs. The Foundation has many resources and computer software
to help determine which vehicle may best meet your needs. Call the Foundation
office at 724-223-3875 to obtain estate planning information or to discuss
planned giving options.
Commemorative Gifts

a special occasion or as a memorial to one who has passed away.
Special Events -
Support for events such as the Foundation’s annual Ladies Golf Classic, The
Washington Hospital Ball, and the annual Sporting Clay Shoot. These events
generate opportunities for corporate sponsorship as well as contributions of
services and products from businesses and individuals and the support of event
attendees.
Grants
- The Hospital receives funds from government
agencies, corporations, and corporate and private foundations. These gifts are
obtained through the submission of grant proposals.
