Funds from the 2009 Sporting Clay Shoot will support The Washington Hospital and the programs and services that it provides to the people of Southwestern Pennsylvania. The Washington Hospital treated 723,020 people last year - that included 42,451 emergency department visits and 15,683 in-patient admissions. We were the only hospital in the region to receive four national HealthGrades awards in 2008. We provided over $6.5 million in care to those who are uninsured or underinsured and we continue to offer many community programs that are not reimbursed by insurance at all. Your participation in this event will help us continue to provide the quality healthcare that the people of this community deserve. This will be a 100 target event limited to one flight of 200 participants on two courses. A trapper will be at each of the 15 stations. Shooters of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. Shooters should bring their own equipment, but a shotgun will be available at each station for any participant’s use. Ammunition and safety equipment is available for sale in the pro shop. Last year’s event raised more than $33,000. Help make this year even more successful. Contact John Mercer at The Washington Hospital Foundation office at (724) 223-3722 or via email at jmercer@washingtonhospital.org for more information.
