The Ruth York Morgan
Health Education Learning Place was developed as a free
community information resource center for patients,
their families and members of the community. It
also serves as an asset to and for the hospital
personnel and medical staff. It is dedicated to
providing access to a current and credible collection of
health issues, illness prevention and wellness
promotion. This information resource is timely
confidential, and personalized based on one's needs.
The information from HELP is intended to supplement and
enhance the medical advice of your physician.
Patients and their families now have an outlet to learn
additional information regarding their conditions
and available treatments.
HELP'S unique services
are offered only at the Washington Hospital. The
on-site staff provides personal interaction and
assistance.
Access to the Internet is also available also to further
assist you if necessary. HELP is an
extension of the quality, compassionate care at the
Washington Hospital and is an adjunct to physician care.
HELP was crated
through the vision and generosity of James and Nancy
Cameron in memory on Nancy's mother Ruth York Morgan.
Mrs. Morgan was a life long resident of Washington,
where she participated in a variety of charitable
projects. She was a graduate of the University of
Pittsburgh and active in the business community as
president of Holiday Construction.
Most important
she was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother who
appreciated the power of knowledge.
Where
