The Washington Hospital Family Medicine Centers are designed to provide you with quality, family-oriented, primary care at convenient locations. General health examinations, minor emergencies, accidents, acute and chronic illnesses, as well as obstetrical and pediatric care, are handled routinely. The Family Medicine Centers are staffed by board-certified family practice physicians and family practice residents who are committed to providing high quality family medical care.

Scheduling An Appointment
Please call the Family Medicine Center in advance to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, call the office 24 hours prior to your scheduled time. Your physician has responsibilities in other areas of the hospital and is not always at the Family Medicine Center. Each physician has specific days devoted to his/her practice. Occasionally, you may need medical attention when your physician is unavailable. Another physician will provide care for you when your physician is not available.

Visits to the Center
On your first visit, you will be asked to furnish information about your past medical history, your family history, drug allergies, current medications, insurance coverage, etc. Please be on time for you appointment so that the office staff is able to get all your background information. After your first visit, if you have any changes in your address, telephone number, or insurance, notify your Family Medicine Center.
