FAQs

Who Gives to the Foundation?

Donors to Washington Health System come from all walks of life and income levels. We have the support of patients, family members, employees, medical staff, concerned individuals, corporations, organizations, churches, retirees, the auxiliary, and private and corporate foundations. Your gift, combined with those of other caring people, has a positive impact on the hospital. Every gift counts!

Why does Washington Health System Need Charitable Support?

Without the support of the community, Washington Health System would have a difficult time providing the quality services that it offers. If it were not for charitable giving, many programs would not exist, pieces of new and lifesaving equipment could not be purchased. Without donor support, we could not upgrade our facilities or build new ones that are vital to the care we offer. Without charitable gifts, we could not educate and train our staff to be among the best in the field. Your support makes a great difference in the lives of our patients.

Does the Foundation process all gifts/donations made to Washington Health System, including Hospice Care?

Yes, the Foundation processes and sends acknowledgement letters to all donors of cash, pledges, stock, gifts of personal items (gifts in kind), estates, etc.
