Washington Health System Washington Hospital Auxiliary

Formally organized in 1923, the Auxiliary has a membership of over 300; forty are lifetime members. The Auxiliary is very active in its role with the hospital, supporting many fundraising activities throughout the year, and in operating the Hospitality Shop and Gift Cart. Each year, the Auxiliary raises more than $200,000 for the hospital and has given more than $5 million since it first began the 1890s.

All volunteers are members of the Auxiliary and pay yearly dues. In return, the Auxiliary assists each volunteer with the cost of a uniform.
