Women's Health

The Washington Hospital offers many services to help women maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Located in the Neighbor Health Center, at 95 Leonard Avenue, Washington, the Women's Health Center offers mammography, ultrasound, and osteoporosis diagnostic services. Full-time staffing by a breast imaging physician insures appropriate care for both screening and diagnostic mammography.

Another diagnostic service at the Women's Health Center is osteoporosis screening. Osteoporosis is a disease in which the bones become brittle and may break. It is treatable if it is detected in the earliest stages.

A full range of obstetrical and gynecological services is available to women at the main location of the hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, in Washington. The Obstetrics and Women's Health Care Department also contains rooms where the professional staff conducts prenatal classes (labor and delivery, breast-feeding, and child care, as well as other special focus classes), programs, and seminars, addressing all phases of women's lives.
