Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
Many people in today’s society choose to participate in athletics. Some are professionals whose physical performance is their livelihood, many are students who pursue sports in conjunction with academics, and still others are avid amateurs who participate in sports for recreation and physical fitness.
Washington Health System is striving to be the provider of choice for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of muscle, bone and joint injuries for active individuals. The Sports Medicine Program encompasses the entire spectrum of healthcare. Our goal is simple: to help people maximize their potential and better understand how to care for their bodies before, during, and after participating in activities.
Our clinical team of physicians, rehabilitation specialists, athletic trainers, exercise physiologists and nutritionists provides a comprehensive leading edge approach to the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries as well as to the enhancement of athletic performance.
The clinical team is also actively involved in educating our community. We believe that education is an integral factor to our success. We also believe we can help minimize the risk of injury by providing programs to the community that teach proper strength building, flexibility, conditioning, endurance and training techniques.
