Washington Health System Women’s Health Services will perform over 20,000 breast imaging exams this year.


Located in the Outpatient Center - Meadows Landing, on the 2nd floor at 80 Landings Drive, Washington, Washington Health System Women’s Center offers digital mammography, 3D mammography ultrasound, breast biopsy, and DXA bone densitometry (osteoporosis screening) diagnostic services.  Convenient evening and Saturday hours are at WHS Women’s Center also offers screening digital mammography and DXA services at Peters Township Outpatient Center, located at 4198 Washington Road, McMurray.


Full-time staffing by specialty trained breast-imaging physicians ensure appropriate care for both screening and diagnostic mammography.  Breast ultrasound and a full range of breast interventional services, including ultrasound-guided aspiration/biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, galactography, and needle localizations are also performed at Washington Health System Women’s Health Services.


Another diagnostic service at Washington Health System Women’s Health Services is osteoporosis screening. The screening procedure, called bone densitometry, or DEXA, is painless and non-invasive.
